Kyla was born and raised in Doaktown and has spent most of her life in the community. A proud mother to her son, Matt, she became actively involved in local sports and recreation through his early passion for athletics.

Dedicated to her community, Kyla has volunteered with fundraising events and served on various committees, supporting local organizations for many years.

Her career has included roles in such settings as banking, administration, health services, elections, and management positions. Aside from work, she also oversaw the construction of her own home on the banks of the Miramichi River, one of her proudest accomplishments.

Today, Kyla manages at The Village Family Restaurant, fills in as a clerk at local health centres, and operates her business, River Reflexology.

In 2019, Kyla met her partner, Scott. With his work taking him away during the week, they make the most of their weekends together, enjoying the activities and experiences they both love.

The morals and values Kyla learned from her parents, Carl and Elaine, along with her strong commitment to family, friends, and community, continue to inspire her dedication to helping others and serving the place she is proud to call

home.
